The following agencies are funded by United Way of Central Alabama and Shelby County:

  • Positive Maturity – offers counselng, social, volunteer and employment opportunities for senior adults www.positivematurity.org
  • Salvation Army – Birmingham Area Command – to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination birminghamsalvationarmy.org
  • Workshops, Inc. – provide vocational training, employment opportunities and support service to people with disabilities in Central Alabama weincal.org
