There are currently 24 building replicas and monuments at the American Village. Each one represents a pivotal part of American history. Each one is great, but here are descriptions of a few that we recommend checking out during your visit.

  • The replica of the Oval Office is an exact copy of the real Oval Office in Washington, D.C., and visitors can take a tour to experience what it is like for the President of the United States. 
  • The Colonial Chapel is another beautiful space on the campus that features stained glass windows, a pipe organ, and a balcony. It’s a popular venue for weddings, concerts, and other special events. 
  • The National Veterans Shrine is also a powerful tribute to the men and women who have served our country. The shrine features an Eternal Flame that burns in honor of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

American Village hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including the Independence Day celebration, which includes a parade, live music, and a fireworks show. 

The Festival of Tulips is an amazing annual event where you can stroll through a massive field of 100,000 tulips that come in every color of the rainbow! The festival typically runs from mid-February to early March. You can even pick out the ones you want to take home with you for just $2.00 each, and each tulip comes with both the flower and bulb. You should definitely bring along your family and friends to enjoy the experience with you and don’t forget your camera because the tulips and the stunning campus of the American Village make for an unforgettable backdrop for photos.

Enjoy Memorial Day at the American Village and pay your respects to America’s fallen heroes at a service in the Colonial Chapel, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the National Veterans Shrine. Afterward, you can immerse yourself in the rich history of the 188-acre American Village campus. It features impressive replicas of George Washington’s Mount Vernon, the President’s Oval Office, the Concord Bridge, and even the West Wing of Independence Hall. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy, with plenty of family-friendly activities available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

The July 4th Celebration at the American Village is one of the biggest events of the year! It’s no surprise that this event always draws some of the largest crowds in the County. Come and join the festivities with your family and experience historical vignettes, music, and dancing, and witness the Battle of the Redcoats and Patriots. Pay tribute to our veterans with special salutes, and let your kids enjoy plenty of hands-on activities. You won’t have to worry about going hungry, with over a dozen food options available to satisfy your cravings. The gates open at 11:00 a.m., and the day’s activities culminate with a spectacular fireworks show at twilight’s last gleaming. It’s the ultimate red, white, and blue celebration that you won’t want to miss!
