Christmas carols by Mike Mason will start at 5:30 p.m., Dream Makers Dancers will perform at 6:15 p.m. and the parade will begin at 7 p.m. Columbiana City Councilman Leslie Whiting will serve as grand marshal of the parade, which will involve the Columbiana, Shelby and Wilsonville communities.Food trucks will be set up from 5-8:30 p.m. in the new parking lot between the Shelby County Museum and the Shelby County Arts Center. Santa will bring up the end of the parade.

For the city sponsored tree lighting at the caboose, performances from local choirs and renowned saxophone artist Vann Burchfield will be followed by the illumination of the city’s 15-foot Christmas tree at 7 p.m. There will be 40 vendors and seven food trucks, this event will feature Santa Claus, Christmas Story readings by Mrs. Claus, and plenty of photo opportunities. The Helena Belles will lend a hand with the bounce house, face painting, free gift wrapping for your purchases and the Helena Fire Explorers will be helping make s’mores and so much more.

They’re back!! Telluride is a Birmingham-based rock band founded in 1977 by guitarists Moose Harrell and Rick Carter with keyboardist Roger Bailey, drummer Robert Churchill, and bassist Jim Liner. If you grew up in the southeast in the 70’s/80s, you know what these musicians meant to the Central Alabama music scene!
