Cahaba River Park Ribbon Cutting Marks Official Opening of Park

Officials from the State, County, Alabama Forever Wild Land Trust and several local High School Mountain Bike Teams were on hand for the official ribbon cutting of Cahaba River Park in Helena on Monday, August 22.

Park features more than 12 miles of single track and more than 5 miles of double track hiking and biking trails, restroom and pavilion facilities, and endless opportunities to enjoy unique views of the treasured Cahaba River.

With the ribbon cutting, residents and guests to the area will have unencumbered access to some of Alabama's most unique and beautiful natural resources.

Birmingham Tuscaloosa Kennel Club Draws Show Dogs to Columbiana

Once again, show dogs and their owners and handlers flocked to Columbiana during the first week of April to participate in the Birmingham Tuscaloosa Kennel Clubs Dog Show. About 1,000 show dogs participated from as many as 45 states in the all breed dog show

Alabama High School Mountain Biking Draws large crowd to OMSP

More than 500 high school and middle school mountain bike cyclists from across the State and some surrounding states converged on Oak Mountain State Park for the Annual "Rumble on the Ridge" Race on March 3st.
Joined by several hundred family and fans the event included food trucks and numerous team tents.
